About Esram

Our Background

Esram Metals (M) Sdn Bhd was founded by late Mr Periasamy Chettiar, the son of immigrant parent who had come to Malaysia from south India. Mr Periasamy grew up in Kulim, Kedah in the late 1980s. After a thorough study on the market demand, Mr Periasamy Chettiar decided to start a business called ‘Perniagaan Logam Periasamy Chettiar’ along with his son Dato’ Rammu Periasamy in Kulim Kedah, 1995.

In early 1998, Mr Periasamy Chettiar hand over the Perniagaan Logam Periasamy Chettiar to his son Dato’ Rammu Periasamy after he discover some problem in his health. In early 2005, Perniagaan Logam Periasamy Chettiar has been changed/renamed as Esram Metals (M) Sdn Bhd.
